Denise Richards has a new man in her life -- but she still has a place at the dinner table for ex-husband Charlie Sheen! The actress/model, who has two young daughters with Sheen, recently started dating longtime friend and Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx. And in the spirit of Christmas, she's reportedly inviting both of them to celebrate the holidays with her family.
"Denise has a heart of gold and wants to make sure that no one is alone on Christmas," a friend tells PopEater. "She's taking it extremely slow with Nikki, but if he isn't invited anywhere else, he is welcome at her house to enjoy Christmas dinner along with Charlie."
Friends say that there is mutual respect between the "sweet, family-oriented" rocker and the scandal-ridden actor. Interestingly, Sixx, 56, has been sober from heroin for over 23 years -- so maybe he could be a positive influence for Sheen.
As for Richards, 39, she has often expressed concern that Sheen's bad habits will have a negative effect on their girls. However, she's gone the extra mile to be there for him this year: vacationing with him in New York, supporting him after the Plaza Hotel incident and even inviting him to Thanksgiving dinner. She certainly seems to have his best interests at heart, and hopefully he'll thank her by cleaning up his act. After what happened last Christmas, having Charlie Sheen home for the holidays is definitely an act of good will!
