Britney Spears Hits 10 Million Twitter Followers
Watch out, Kim Kardashian -- Britney Spears is catching up! The pop star has just become the sixth person ever to reach 10 million Twitter followers, after Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, President Barack Obama, Katy Perry and Kardashian, who just reached the impressive benchmark last month. According to MediaBistro, it took Britney just 53 days to go from 9 million to 10 million followers.
Ever since climbing to the No. 1 spot on the list of Twitter's most-followed last May, Spears has embraced the social networking medium. Now she frequently retweets compliments from fans, and posts tons of pictures and videos -- like the recent concert pic of her "Till the World Ends" performance featuring 6-year-old son Sean Preston.
Though Kardashian beat Spears to 10 million followers, it's worth noting that Kim posts much more often than Britney: to date, 9,331 tweets vs. Britney's 1,095. Kim, in other words, works a lot harder than Britney for her Twitter followers! Top tweeter Lady Gaga, on the other hand, has posted less than either of them -- but tends to limit her tweets to big announcements.
So who will be next to cross the 10-million line? Shakira seems to have it in the bag, with over 9 million followers. The next highest-ranked Twitter users are Taylor Swift, Rihanna and Ashton Kutcher. However, Mediabistro predicts that Kutcher will soon be pushed out of the top 10 by one of three celebs who are gaining on him: Ellen DeGeneres, Oprah Winfrey and Selena Gomez.
Notice anything that all the top-ranked Tweeters have in common? That's right -- with the exception of social-media pioneer Kutcher and the President of the United States, they're all women. Let's hear it for girl power (in 140 characters or less)!

Kelis & Son Knight Hit Yo Gabba Gabba's Shoe Launch....While Daddy Nas Performs Around NYC
Cuteness ensued when Kelis brought her 2-year-old son Knight to yesterday's Vans x Yo Gabba Gabba! shoe launch in L.A. Pics of the ever growing hip hop kid, plus his dad Nas performing all around NYC yesterday, when you read on....
This kid loves him some Yo Gabba Gabba! Knight Jones made his way--with mom in tow of course--to the live cartoon folks' shoe launch at Kitson in L.A. yesterday. And he looked every bit the hop hop cutie his daddy is, plus a little eclecticism from mom:
Kelis rocked an interesting combo of stripes and animal print with bright red patent leather dance shoes.
And was clearly a proud mama as her baby boy posed for pics with his faves.
And across the country in NYC, Kelis' ex-hubby and Knight's dad Nas performed with AZ for the Jordan MELO M8 Launch at Pier 54:
And he also rolled to the XXL/Nas concert at Webster Hall, as he's on the cover of the mag's upcoming November issue.
He hit the stage with his homie AZ.
And kicked it off stage with his homie Maino.
